She's Got Lupus

What Is Lupus?

Lupus is a systemic autoimmune disease that occurs when your body’s immune system attacks your own tissues and organs. Inflammation caused by lupus can affect many different body systems — including your joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs. (mayoclinic.org)

How You Can Raise Lupus Awareness

 Participate.

Attend Lupus Awareness events locally or online. The Lupus Foundation has more information to find. Also, share information about lupus on any of your social platforms.

Educate Yourself.

You don't need to be an expert but be open to learning about lupus and the symptoms of the disease. The more you know and understand lupus, makes it easier to explain it to others.

Share The Lupus Story.

Simply by sharing our stories, either our experience as a fighter or a supporter., we can raise awareness. Share information about lupus on social platforms so others can learn about the disease as well.

I have teamed up with non profit organization, Hooper Mentality, and proceeds from their purple/white hoodie (pictured left) sales will go to my fundraiser!
